Many of the natives to Montezuma County might remember her mother, Judy Fish, and her hospitality. Marionetta Cooper continues the same family tradition of hospitality and love of kids that can only be found in this preschool.
Her Story
Returning home to stay after many years away and holding a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Western State College and a Master of Library Science from George Peabody College, she is remembered as first being reintroduced to the county as the local librarian in Mancos. After many more years doing administrative work for various family businesses, she returned to her passion with children in 1998 with what was First Flight Exploration Center, the first iteration of what is now Country Kids Playhouse, in the same location.
